Q: Will I have to pay for the Fire Safety Remediation works?

A: No, you will not have to pay for any of these works.

Q: What will be your working hours?

A: The team are permitted to work from 8am-6pm, as per the Royal Borough of Greenwich guidelines on construction work. We will not undertake work at the weekend.

Q: How will you let us know what work is happening and when?

A: We will always try to write to you ahead of any works taking place that affect your property at least 10 days before they happen. However, sometimes works will arise where we will not be able to give this amount of notice. To stay updated with the works, please subscribe to our newsletter by emailing your details to the RLO team.

Q: Will car parking be affected?

A: The underground car park will still be in use throughout the works. We will have to take some parking space for our works on Elmley Street, Walmer Terrace, and Southport Road, but there will still be ample parking available for residents.

Q: Will I need to clear my balcony/terrace for works to take place?

A: We will let you know by letter ahead of your balcony/terrace needing to be cleared at least 10 days in advance. Items from your balcony/terrace will need to be moved into your property before we can begin remediation. We will always try to minimise the time each balcony/terrace has to be clear. If this presents a problem for you, please liaise with us directly.

Q: Can I access the scaffolding?

A: Residents must not access the scaffolding under any circumstances, for your own safety. We take security very seriously, and an alarm system will be installed on the scaffolding at Elmgrove Point, as well as CCTV. Trespassing on the scaffolding is a criminal offence. If you see anyone other than authorised personnel using the scaffolding please inform us as soon as you can and, if appropriate, call the police.
